The Kingdom of God is Rest!
Finally. Rom.14:17 says. The kingdom of God is not a matter of (getting the) food and drink (one needs or likes)) but instead it is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. (AMP)
Righteousnes, right standing with God, peace and joy are what citizens of the kingdom of God walk in. Peace and joy are the result of righteousness. Knowing you are at rest in Him. Having His joy made full in you. Knowing His peace. This is true rest.
Jn.14:27. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Jn.16:33. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Jn.16:24. Hitherto have you asked nothing in my name: ask, and you shall receive, that your joy may be full.
Jn.17:13. And now come I to you Father; and these things I speak in the world, that you might have my joy fulfilled in yourself.
Who brings this peace, joy and rest? The Holy Spirit.
